Tim Mayotte

A native of Springfield, MA, Mayotte burst upon the pro tennis scene fresh on the heels of capturing the 1981 NCAA Men’s Singles title at Stanford University. During an impressive professional career “Gentleman Tim” captured 12 ATP singles titles from 1981-90, with nine of them coming in 1987-88. He defeated tennis legends Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl OTHERS during his illustrious career. He played in more than 35 Grand Slam tournaments -- advancing to the quarterfinals seven times and reaching the semi-finals twice -- at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

After his retirement, Tim was tapped by the USTA to launch the USTA High Performance Training Center in New York. It was there he met Lee Hurst and after they got the center off the ground, the duo realized that their common philosophical beliefs offered them the unique ability to help junior tennis players achieve success at all levels.

The chance for a junior players to learn from a former player with Tim’s high-level experience is rare. And the fact that a former professional player with his credentials is on the court with students of all levels every day it even more rare.
